Is Hydroponic Food
Healthy?

The main concern that may arise in your mind is whether the plants that are grown in such conditions produce healthy foods?

The best thing about hydroponic is that it becomes very convenient to improve nutritional level of plant, because whatever nutrients are required, can be added easily in the solution, for example, magnesium, iron, zinc and calcium.

The benefit to adjust the nutrient concentration automatically results in plants that are nutritionally healthier & superior as compared to those that are grown in a traditional environment.

HOW TO CLEAN AND STORE

  • Wash all leafy greens, including pre-bagged greens under cold running tap water.
  • For leafy greens, such as lettuce, remove the outer leaves first and throw away wilted leaves if any.
  • Slowly rinse the leafy greens in a large colander and gently spin it then pat it dry with a paper towel.
  • Store in clean paper towels or a tea towel in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge. Use within a week.

Tip: Washing your green leafy vegetables as soon as you bring them home will make them easier to use in salads, stir fries and other dishes when you need them.
